MPP Tungus 6-MPP (N-C3) -6 (p) — I-GE-U2 with a two-channel fire detection system based on the USPAA-1v5 alarm and trigger device is designed to extinguish fire centers of classes A — solid combustion, B-liquid combustion, C-gaseous combustion and E — electrical equipment that is under voltage, without restrictions on the value of the breakdown voltage.
The device is fully automatic and self-contained, does not require human intervention during the extinguishing process, and does not require external power supply, as it operates on 3 AA batteries and can last up to 10 years on a single set of batteries.
The self-actuating module consists of a standard Tungus-6 MPP and an USPAA-1v5 signal-triggering device, which is installed directly on the module body on a special bracket or separately on wall panels, ceiling panels, or columns.
The Tungus 6 N-C3 module surpasses its existing analogues in terms of technical, economic, and operational indicators, and provides effective suppression of fire outbreaks at an early stage of their development.
A distinctive feature of the module is the use of a two-channel fire detection system: thermal and optical, with the optical channel activated by the thermal channel. The module operates entirely autonomously, requiring no human intervention in the fire suppression process. This eliminates the negative impact of human error on fire suppression.
The installation of the module is quite simple and does not require special skills from the installer. This allows it to be used not only for the protection of facilities in various industries, but also on private property (residential premises, garages, saunas, etc.). To do this, using the technical characteristics of the module and the volume of the protected room, select the number of modules and install them in the room using simple tools.
Advantages of self-triggering modules equipped with the USPAA-1v5 device:
1. Both the optical and thermal detection channels are used, which ensures high speed and reliability and eliminates false alarms (due to optical interference: solar glare,
electric arc welding). The device monitors the temperature and spectral levels of low-frequency infrared radiation and classifies the fire situation according to its development stage.
2. The USPAA-1v5 provides a group launch of the Tungus modules. The device has two modes of operation in the form of a
group start:
— «global» group start with simultaneous start of all modules;
— «local» group start with selective start of only those modules whose devices have detected the initial signs of a fire and are in the «Warning» state.
Operation of the Tungus N-S3 self-actuating module
When changes in temperature on the protected object are detected, which are typical for the occurrence of a flame, the USPAA-1v5 device activates the optical control channel, selects low-frequency spectral
components of infrared radiation, compares the received data with the a priori images pre-recorded in its memory, and sets the fire hazard level. In the event of a fire being detected at the protected object (if the temperature of the protected object exceeds 62 °C, or if a fire with an open flame occurs in the room), the device generates a «Fire» signal (intermittent sound and light signals) and, with a time delay of 5 seconds (or 30 seconds), generates a «Start» signal. The «Start» command is generated by supplying a starting current to the module’s output contacts, causing the «Tungus» module to activate. This generates a gas that expands the fire-extinguishing powder and creates pressure inside the module. Then, the membrane is opened, and a stream of fire-extinguishing powder is ejected through the nozzle into the fire zone.
In standby mode, the self-triggering module is automatically tested every 2 minutes.
