The Tungus-2.7S autonomous, automatic powder fire extinguishing module has the function of automatic detection and extinguishing of a fire independently of external power sources and control systems. Unlike combined autonomous modular installations, it is certified as a single product, which eliminates problems when it is included in fire protection projects.
It is designed for automatic suppression of fire classes A (solid substances), B (liquid substances), C (gaseous substances), and E (electrical equipment that is under voltage without taking into account the breakdown voltage of the fire extinguishing powder).
The MPP is equipped with a thermal fire detection sensor. The start-up time is no more than 1 minute from the moment of fire occurrence. The temperature range of operation is from minus 40 to plus 50C (the temperature limitation to minus 40ºС is due to the temperature range of operation of the autonomous power supply of the electronic launch unit). Autonomous launch of MPP(N-S)-2.7(p)-I-GE-U2 occurs when the ambient temperature reaches (72±5)ºС. The device is powered by a CR2032 battery with a voltage of (3.0±0.3) V.
Operating principle
When a fire occurs and the ambient temperature in the MPP placement area reaches (72±5) ºC, an electrical impulse is automatically sent from the electronic launch unit 4 to the terminals 5 of the electric starter element. The IHG generates a gas that expands the OP and creates pressure inside the MPP housing, causing the membrane to open and releasing the OP jet through the nozzle into the combustion zone. Simultaneously with the formation of an electric impulse on the element of the electro-starting ICHG in the electronic start-up unit for the signal to start the MPP, the fire alarm loop (FAL) is closed, the wires of which are connected to the electronic start-up unit through the hermetic inlet.
The fire extinguishing powder does not have a harmful effect on the body and clothes of a person, does not cause damage to property and is easily removed. After the MPP is triggered, it is necessary to use general exchange ventilation to remove combustion products and fire extinguishing powder floating in the air. It is allowed to use mobile
ventilation units for this purpose. Settled powder is removed by vacuuming, dry cloth with subsequent wet cleaning. Waste disposal of fire extinguishing powder should be carried out in accordance with the instructions «Disposal and regeneration of fire extinguishing powders» M: VNIIPO, 1988.
