The MPP(N)-2.7(p)-I-GE-U2 powder fire extinguishing module is designed for automatic suppression of fire classes A (solid substances), B (liquid substances), C (gaseous substances), and E (electrical equipment that is under voltage without taking into account the breakdown voltage of the fire extinguishing powder).
MPP is not intended for extinguishing substances that can burn without access to air.
The MPP is designed for both local fire suppression and room-by-room or volume-by-volume fire suppression.
The MPP is a reusable product.
The fire-extinguishing powder is displaced by gas produced by the IHG-3(M) cold gas source.
CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION
MPP Device
The MPP (see Figures 1 and 2) consists of a housing 1, which contains a fire-extinguishing powder (FP) 2 and a cold gas source (CGS) 3 with an electric starter element 4. At the bottom of the housing, there is a spray nozzle 5, with an outlet covered by a membrane 6. The module has a grounding clip 7. At the top, the MPP is equipped with a bracket 8 for attaching to the ceiling (Figure 1) or a bracket 9 for attaching to the wall (Figure 2). 4.1.2 The MPP is activated by a current pulse, which can be generated by:
— security and fire control devices;
— a manual start button;
— electronic triggering units (such as the autonomous automatic signal-triggering device USPA-1, USP-101.
Operating principle
After an electric impulse is applied to the terminals of the 4-electro-starting element, the ICHG 3 generates gas, which expands the OP 2 and creates pressure inside the MPP housing to open the membrane 6 and eject the OP jet through the spray nozzle 5 into the combustion zone. 4.3
